The President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, today took part in London in the High Level Meeting on Ukraine organised by the UK Prime Minister, Keir Starmer.
Pedro Sánchez reiterated Spain's firm commitment to Ukraine, assuring that our country will continue to support the Ukrainian people for as long as necessary.
To commemorate the third anniversary of the start of Russian aggression against Ukraine, Pedro Sánchez travelled to Kyiv on 24 February. There, Spain announced a new new military assistance package for Ukraine worth 1 billion euros for 2025 to further strengthen its defence capabilities.

Likewise, at the summit that took place in Paris on 17 February, the president of the Government of Spain argued that peace in Ukraine and European security are two sides of the same coin.
Options for promoting a just and lasting peace in Ukraine, as well as ensuring European security, were explored during the meeting in London today. Spain will continue to take an active part in the talks with the aim of finding a path to peace as soon as possible.
