The President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, has met with the new Global Chairman of the consultancy firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Mohamed Kande, at Moncloa Palace. During the meeting, they discussed Spain's potential as a hub for services and centres of excellence in fields such as technology, cybersecurity and R&D in Europe and worldwide, as well as the positioning of our country as a pole of attraction for international investment in technological transformation and energy transition.

The meeting also addressed issues related to international geopolitics and strategic autonomy in key sectors for Europe, as well as progress in the implementation of Artificial Intelligence, in which Spain is a pioneer at a European level in promoting its regulation and with the Spanish Agency for AI Oversight.

Spain's attractiveness for investors has been reinforced in recent years with the approval of the first law for start-ups, with incentives for entrepreneurs, and with the firm commitment to green and digital transformation, especially through the modernisation process driven by the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan. Other strategic projects include the PERTE for Electric and Connected Vehicles, the PERTE for Microelectronics and Semiconductors to reinforce strategic autonomy, the PERTE for Industrial Decarbonisation and Renewable Energies, Green Hydrogen and Storage, together with pioneering programmes such as the Digital Kit,which already benefits more than 530,000 SMEs and the self-employed throughout the country.
