Óscar López swore the oath of office in the Salón de Audiencias of La Zarzuela Palace on a copy of the Constitution, opened at Title IV, on Government and Administration, in the presence of the King, the President of the Government of Spain and the Minister for the Presidency, Justice and Parliamentary Relations, Félix Bolaños, who acted as notary major of the kingdom.

The event was also attended by the Minister for Economy, Trade and Enterprise, Carlos Cuerpo, and the President of the Constitutional Court, Cándido Conde-Pumpido.

After swearing the oath, the new minister for Digital Transformation and Public Function went to the offices of his ministry to receive the portfolio from his predecessor, José Luis Escrivá.
