Pedro Sánchez meets with H.M. the King of Jordan, Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein, at the Moncloa Palace

The president of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, received at the Moncloa Palace H.M. the King of Jordan, Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein, with whom he recently held a telephone conversation. Today he again thanked him for Jordan's ongoing efforts to move towards a peaceful and lasting solution in Gaza.

During this meeting, they discussed the situation in the Middle East and agreed on the importance of humanitarian aid reaching the Gaza Strip steadily and in sufficient quantities to alleviate the suffering of the civilian population.

Pedro Sánchez conveyed to him that the Spanish government rejects the forced displacement of the Palestinian population. Both stressed the need for a humanitarian ceasefire leading to a cessation of hostilities, reiterating the importance of working together to bring about a horizon of stability, based on the two-state solution, Israel and Palestine, living side by side and in peace and security.
