President of the Government receives Andrés Herzog

This meeting forms part of the round of contacts that the President of the Government is holding with the leaders of different political parties in light of the breakaway process under way in Catalonia. The first meeting was held with Pedro Sánchez, Leader of the Opposition and General Secretary of the PSOE [Socialist Workers' Party] on 28 October. On Friday, 30 October, the President of the Government received Albert Rivera, President of Ciudadanos, and Pablo Iglesias, General Secretary of Podemos. On Monday, 2 November, Mariano Rajoy met with the Leader of IU [United Left] Alberto Garzón.

On Tuesday morning, the President of the Government also received the President of the Government Committee of Unió Democrática de Catalunya [Democratic Union of Catalonia], Josep Antoni Duran i Lleida.
