The President of the Government of Spain held a very productive conversation with the Dutch Prime Minister on the upcoming European Council, the purpose of which is to finalise the revision of the EU's budget, which contemplates financial support for Ukraine.

Pedro Sánchez and Mark Rutte have once again reaffirmed their commitment and support for Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression for as long as necessary.

The two leaders also discussed the need to end the crisis in the Middle East. They agreed on the need to respect international humanitarian law, to release all hostages and to offer the prospect of peace with the two-state solution of Israel and Palestine living side by side in peace and security.

The President of the Government and the Prime Minister of the Netherlands noted the magnificent harmony that exists between our two countries, and the desire to lead a strong Europe that ensures the security and prosperity of its citizens and its neighbourhood.
