In the week of the 'Goya Awards 2024', the President has had the opportunity to discuss with his interlocutors the current high that Spanish cinema is currently experiencing not only in terms of audience figures and box office takings, but also in terms of production and international recognition, and has pledged to continue promoting the policies of support for the sector that the Executive has been developing since 2018.

The meeting was attended by Fernando Méndez-Leite, president of the Film Academy; the vice-presidents of this association, Rafael Portela and Asunción Sánchez, as well as its manager, José Manuel García; the film director, Isabel Coixet; the producers, Jordi Bosch, Pilar Benito, Marisa Fernández, Valérie Delpierra, Cristina Zumárraga and Belén Atienza; the composer, Natasha Arizu; the actress, Janet Novás, and the director of photography, Valentín Álvarez.
