The President of the Government of Spain receives the Ombudsman's report on sexual abuse in the church

The mandate states that "the report will be sent, with its conclusions and recommendations, to the General Courts and the Government of Spain".

The President of the Spanish Parliament, Francina Armengol, received the report from Gabilondo on Friday 27 October.

At the meeting, the acting chief executive thanked the Ombudsman for his work and reiterated the Government's commitment, and his own personal commitment, to the clarification of the cases described. For the government, the presentation of the report is the beginning of the work that must be carried out by Spain to settle a debt with the victims of these terrible aggressions.
