Lower House of Parliament, Madrid

The event began with the award of commemorative badges to some MPs who formed part of the Constituent Assembly. Once inside the chamber, the Speaker of the Lower House, Ana Pastor, opened the session and gave a speech. Subsequently, King Felipe VI took the floor to address the members of the Upper and Lower Houses attending this formal sitting of Parliament.

After the session was adjourned, the King and Queen, together with the presidents of the highest State institutions and constitutional rapporteurs, opened the exhibition entitled "40 years since first democratic elections" being displayed in the Ampliación III Chamber in the Lower House.
