​Mariano Rajoy congratulates Spanish women's basketball team on victory at European Championship

I ask that you pass on my sincere and warmest congratulations to the players in the women's basketball team, their coach and the rest of the technical staff on a great performance at Eurobasket in the Czech Republic, where, after an exciting championship and a demanding final against France, they won the eighth gold medal for the national squad in this competition.

The impeccable game played by the women's team coached by Lucas Mondelo García, Olympic and World Cup runners-up, has clearly demonstrated that they will continue to bring home victories for Spanish sport and return to Spain with a well-deserved medal, bringing yet another source of pride and once again showing that there is no goal that is beyond the reach of Spanish sport.
