Mariano Rajoy and Ban Ki-moon also discussed the delicate situation in Libya and the need to support efforts by the Special Envoy of the UN Secretary-General, Bernardino León (a Spanish national).
Furthermore, they reviewed other issues on the international peace and security agenda, as well as the work by the Security Council, on which Spain holds a non-permanent seat.
