The service, provided by the CEOE Foundation, will be offered in person at the information points in Pozuelo de Alarcón (Madrid), Barcelona, Ciudad de la Luz (Alicante) and Málaga.

In the Barcelona centre, the employment counselling service will start tomorrow, Thursday 5 May, while in the Madrid, Alicante and Malaga centres it will start next week.

In the coming days, displaced Ukrainian citizens will be able to make an appointment to go to the CREADE and receive employment counselling from the CEOE Foundation - in addition to the other services offered by these centres - by calling the Ministry of Inclusion's information telephone number for displaced Ukrainians, 91 047 44 44.

Through its "Companies for Ukraine" programme (www.empresasporucrania.org), the CEOE Foundation has launched an employment platform aimed at displaced Ukrainians in which more than 500 companies are already collaborating, offering more than 2,000 vacancies throughout the country for all types of candidates.

In addition to job vacancies, the platform facilitates free Spanish courses offered by academic institutions, as well as other employability skills (e.g. digital skills). The CEOE Foundation website also provides verified information in Ukrainian to facilitate the arrival and inclusion of this group.

High employability

Since the beginning of the Russian invasion, an estimated 130,000 people have arrived in Spain from Ukraine, of whom more than 86,000 already have work and residence permits to stay in our country. Nearly 40% of displaced persons are minors.

The Ministry of Inclusion's information line (91 047 44 44) has so far answered more than 55,000 calls providing information, answering queries and making appointments for face-to-face assistance to access the temporary protection system.

The profile of the more than 40,000 people assisted in the CREADE shows a high level of employability: 60% of the adults have higher education, 26% have upper secondary or vocational training and 11% have completed secondary education.

The professions with the highest representation among Ukrainians in Spain are economists (10%), engineers (5.6%), lawyers (4.3%), accountants (4.2%), hairdressers or beauticians (4.1%) and teachers (3.7%).
