Spain has performed more than 19.1 million diagnostic tests since start of epidemic

In the last week, between 27 November and 3 December, the regional governments have performed a total of 569,774 PCR tests, an average of 81,396 a day.
In addition, from 27 November to 3 December, the regional governments have performed a total of 327,643 antigen tests (average of 46,806 a day). Including the PCR tests performed, this amounts to a total of 897,417 diagnostic tests over the course of the week, 128,202 a day. Accordingly, the number of diagnostic tests has increased by 5%, to a rate of 406.51 tests per 1,000 inhabitants.
New techniques are gradually being developed for the diagnosis of the infection caused by SARS-Cov2, such as the rapid antigen tests that the Regional Health Departments are starting to introduce to manage the pandemic.
