National Museums to celebrate International Museum Day and Museum Night

This year is the 40th edition of International Museum Day, which has been held on 18 May since 1977. This year's slogan is 'Controversial museums and stories: Speak the unspeakable in museums'.

European Museum Night is celebrating its 13th edition on Saturday, 20 May 2017. Dating back to 2005, this initiative has been supported by the European Council and close to 3,400 museums. It is carried out in parallel with the events of International Museum Day.
