Spanish State allocates over four million euros to the Centenary
The General State Administration Services, through the Ministry for Education, Culture and Sport, Acción Cultural Española and the AECID, is allocating over four million euros to the activities associated with the 4th Centenary of the Death of Miguel de Cervantes. To give an idea of the economic scope of this commemoration, the cost of the scheduled international tours and the activities to be developed by other public authorities and institutions should be added to this amount.
The Government of Spain is also offering tax incentives and breaks of up to 90% for State-owned and private companies that take part in the programme and communication of this fourth Centenary, which is classified as an 'event of exceptional public interest'.
