This is the first relocation exercise forming part of a pilot project being carried out by Spain to implement the refugee relocation procedure agreed upon by the European Union. Spain is one of the first five European countries to implement pilot projects to promote the relocation procedure.
Pool Moncloa / Diego CrespoHenceforth, various humanitarian organisations collaborating on this project will assume responsibility for these individuals in various parts of Spain in order to respond to their initial basic needs, such as healthcare coverage, food, education and integration into Spain - in other words, language learning and joining the labour market - in accordance with the guidelines being set by the European Union.
