Council of Ministers approved new extension of state of emergency

The government also agreed to a new line of credit of 20 billion euros, to be managed by the Official Credit Institute, aimed wholly at independent contractors and small- and medium-sized enterprises affected by the economic consequences of COVID-19.

The Minister for the Treasury and Government Spokesperson, María Jesús Montero, stated that this second tranche of security for credit lines is of the same sum as the one approved on 17 March and has the same characteristics and will be processed in the same way as the initial tranche.
