At the meeting, the two leaders tackled the current political and economic situation in Spain and Sweden, the state of bilateral relations and the economic panorama of the European Union, with a special focus on the events in the Eurozone and the situation proposed by Greece in relation to the financial assistance programme.

Finally, they tackled other issues on the international and foreign affairs agenda, particularly in relation to the situation in both Ukraine and Palestine, the Middle East Peace Process and the current political situation in Ibero-America.
