The President of the Government, Mariano Rajoy, met at Moncloa Palace with the General Secretaries of the trade unions UGT and CC.OO., Cándido Méndez and Ignacio Fernández Toxo, respectively, with the President of the Employers' Association CEOE, Joan Rosell, and with the President of the Spanish Confederation of Small- and Medium-Sized Enterprises (CEPYME), Antonio Garamendi.

The meeting is framed within the round of talks that the President of the Government is holding in view of the breakaway process in Catalonia.

Mariano Rajoy met last week with the General Secretary of the PSOE, Pedro Sánchez, with the President of Ciudadanos, Albert Rivera, and with the General Secretary of Podemos, Pablo Iglesias. This week he received the Leader of Izquierda Unida Alberto Garzón, the President of the Government Committee of Unió Democrática de Cataluña, Josep Antoni Duran i Lleida, and the Spokesperson of UPyD, Andrés Herzog.
