National Police arrest member of terrorist group ETA, Garikoitz Ibarlucea, at Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport

Garikoitz Ibarlucea, who arrived in Madrid on a flight from London, has the following outstanding warrants against him:

• 8 May 2006. - Arrest warrant issued by Section One of the Criminal Division of the National High Court, for an act of terrorism.
• 9 May 2006. - Arrest warrant issued by Section One of the Criminal Division of the National High Court, for an act of terrorism.

Garikoitz Ibarlucea Murua was a member of "Kale borroka" from 1999. During this period, he performed various acts of terrorism until he was arrested and imprisoned in 2002 for a crime of terrorism. He was released in 2003.

The detainee will be brought before the Central Investigation Court Number 2 of the National High Court.
