The updated list of authorised establishments has already been published on the webpage of AQSIQ (General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine) and will shortly be published in the IT application of the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Affairs that manages exports - CEXGAN (Livestock Foreign Trade).

Following the inclusion of these five new establishments, 26 Spanish industrial establishments are now authorised to export pork products to China. In Fact, Spain is the leading European country in terms of the number of authorised establishments, ahead of such countries as Germany, Denmark and France.

The volume of exports of Spanish pork products to China continues to rise, with a 128% increase in the first half of 2016 on 2015. Against this backdrop, the destination of 48% of meat and pork products exported is China, thus converting it into the main destination, ahead of Japan, South Korea and Hong Kong.

Hence, the authorisation of these new establishments to export to China consolidates this country as the main destination for meat and pork products. The processes for the authorisation of new companies remains open, and it is expected that the number of establishments will continue to rise in the near future.
