The agreement will allow the two countries to exchange strategic information first-hand on activities being carried out by terrorist organisations and crime trends in the two countries. It will also boost collaboration between the security forces in the countries and the exchange of good police practices.
Furthermore, the agreement reached provides for advanced training through educational networks and programmes and through the holding of seminars, workshops and conferences. It also provides for the exchange of experiences on issues that fall under the agreement, to which end it will be necessary to organise work meetings between public servants, analysts and experts in counter-terrorism and violent radicalisation.
At the signing of the agreement, Francisco Martínez was accompanied by the Director of CITCO, José Luis Olivera, and the Indonesian Ambassador to Spain, Yuli Mumpuni Widarso, along with other public officials.
