14 arrests in a major counter-terrorism operation carried out jointly by Spain and Morocco

The detainees formed part of a recruitment network that sent foreign fighters to join up to the ranks of the terrorist group DAESH in the regions of Syria and Iraq under its control.

The actions in Spanish territory were coordinated by the Central Investigation Court number 3 of the Spanish National High Court.

The operation remains ongoing.
