The Chinese leader praised the improvement in the Spanish economy and expressed his commitment to improving the trade balance between the two countries. In addition, he praised the renewable energy infrastructures and technologies in Spain, which he believes could be developed jointly between Spain and China in third countries. The Chinese Premier's suggestions for collaboration came following his recent tour of Chile, Peru and Colombia.
The Vice-President of the Government invited the Chinese Premier to make an official visit to Spain. The two also exchanged points of view on the best way to improve trade links and relations between the two countries. In addition, they expressed a commitment to increase tourist flows from China and the cultural flow between the two countries in order to improve mutual knowledge of their languages.
Soraya Sáenz de Santamaría received the Chinese Premier on his arrival at the air force base of Son Sant Joan, accompanied by the acting regional President José Ramón Bauzá, the government delegate in the Balearic Islands, Teresa Palmer, and the director of the Office of the Presidency, Jorge Moragas.
