Cabinet from December 2015 to 15 April 2016
Following the general elections held on 20 December, called by means of Royal Decree 977/2015, of 26 October (published in the Official State Gazette on 27 October), the 11th Legislature commenced on 13 January 2016 with the constitution of the two parliamentary chambers: the Lower House of Parliament (Congreso) and the Upper House of Parliament (Senado).
Pursuant to Royal Decree 1168/2015, of 21 December (published in the Official State Gazette on 22 December), the outgoing government remains as the acting government until such time as a new government takes office.

Following the resignation of José Manuel Soria, Royal Decree 160/2016, of 15 April (published in the Official State Gazette on 16 April) provides that the acting Minister for Economic Affairs and Competitiveness, Luis de Guindos, takes on the ordinary duties of the affairs of the Ministry for Industry, Energy and Tourism. The acting government is thus comprised of the following members:
